How to Teach Kids Knife Skills and Safety!

(Available through November 2)

For modern busy moms, the guilt is pretty intense.

Am I spending enough time with my kids?

Am I teaching them how to succeed in life?

Am I giving them experiences that will matter 20 years from now?

And how am I going to do all this when I’m already out of time and stressed about everything – I can barely get dinner on the table, but I know I don’t want to cave in to fast food!

Believe it or not, the solution to ALL of it is sitting right at your kitchen table.

It’s your kids.

All you need to do is pass on the vital life skill of cooking to them, and you can have your cake and eat it too (and you might not even have to make it):

  • Moms rave about quality time spent cooking together, and it is often some of the most precious open conversation you’ll have with your older kids.
  • You get to spend time with your little ones while doing something productive – making the food they need to eat 5-6 times a day!
  • Kids who know how to cook will be healthier adults (and boys who can cook are going to woo some pretty awesome daughter-in-laws).
  • When your kids are grown-ups impressing their friends with a from-scratch dinner party, the stories they’ll be telling will star the person who taught them to cook (that’s you!). Your legacy will live in a most salient (and delicious) way.
  • And most importantly – you’ll all be moving the ball forward, together. The time your kids spend learning to cook yields real results immediately. We call it dinner. And you’ll be able to sit down as a family and fill your kids’ tanks with the pride of a job well done while you all fill your bellies with nourishing food.

But where to start?

When you cook with whole foods, ironically, you spend the most time cutting them up, don’t you?

So let’s grab a knife and a kid and get moving!

Scratch that. Let me teach you how to do this safely first, and then then you get to rock your kids’ worlds when you tell them you’re going to teach them how to use a knife. #coolmomaward
